But some of my most valuable insights came from renovating my own house. Over months, I learned what it truly means to be a contractor by becoming one. I personally worked on every aspect of the project, from refinishing the flooring and painting cabinets and walls, to the meticulous detail of tiling, installing light fixutres, and the drywall installation and repair. This experience gave me a personal respect for the craftsmanship, hard work, and dedication that defines the contracting and building professions. I understand the pride you take in your work and the challenges of managing a project while also trying to grow your business.

I had the opportunity to be the Sales and Marketing Manager for an established builder early in my career. This role let me see the day-to-day operations, the importance of a seamless sales funnel, and the critical role that a compelling brand presence plays in attracting buyers. I learned the language of the industry and the specific pain points that builders, real estate agents, designers, and architects face.
My professional career developed as a business consultant at The Mettise Group in Oklahoma City, where I helped companies of all sizes navigate complex challenges and find their path to growth. This experience gave me a fundamental understanding of business operations, financial metrics, and the strategic planning needed for long-term success.
